A digital camera is a sensitive device and it is important that it remains cleaned and cared so that it will always be on optimum performance. Proper maintenance will make sure that it lasts a long time and you need not do expensive repair costs.
To care and protect your camera there are many other useful tips.
Cleaning it
Every time make sure you keep your camera with flash trigger clean. While wiping the outside of the cameras always use a dry and clean cloth and to clean and wash any of the parts never use any harsh cleaner or solvents.
When cleaning, you can use a soft, lint-free cloth or a lens cleaning paper, blower, and brush. It is better to take your camera to a service company to get it cleaned in case you are not familiar with cleaning the lens and the inside parts. With your fingers do not poke the inside of your camera nor blow on it as it could cause damage.
Caring for the batteries
You need to give the utmost care and attention to camera batteries. Too high temperatures should not be overcharged and not left exposed.
When not used for a long time batteries should be stored in a cool and dry place and recharged. Before storing both, especially if you are not planning to use it for a long time, remove the battery from the camera.
Protecting it
From dirt, shock and water make sure to protect your camera. Of course, especially when you are doing outdoor photography it is easier said than done to avoid these elements. Against this protection and caution should be your first line of defense.
When you are not using your camera with camera accessories always store it in a camera bag and ensure that it is properly closed so that dirt and dust cannot get in. When you are in dirt or dust-filled area try to avoid changing lenses. You should not place your camera on any unstable support or uneven surface so that it won't run the risk of falling.
